When are auditions held?

Auditions for the Fall 2023 Semester will be on September 1st from 5pm to 2 am in Boswell Hall.

 

How do I sign up?

There are a variety of opportunities to sign up each semester. You can sign up at the activities fair, at the beginning of each semester, or on the link below.

What will I have to do in my audition?
Be sure to be ready to sing in your upper and lower ranges, as we want to hear both. To start, you will sing a song of your choice. Try to stick to a verse and chorus of a popular song that showcases your voice. We will then move to various vocal technique exercises.

When will I know if I am called back?
We will send you an email letting you know if you did or did not receive a callback. This is usually sent very late at night. Keep in mind that if you are called back you will be asked to sing a contrasting song to your first audition piece. Further directions will be sent in the email.

I have tried out before and didn't make it, should I audition again?
OF COURSE. The group's needs change each semester, so just because you did not make it doesn't mean you aren't talented! Some people are accepted into groups on a returning audition.

I am nervous about auditioning, any tips?
Just relax, be yourself, and have fun. Auditions can be super stressful and we will do our best to make you as comfortable as possible. Just remember we've all been there. So HAVE FUN!
